Real Estate

Although media often refers to the "real estate market" from the perspective of residential living, real estate can be grouped into three broad categories.

Houses, condominiums and townhomes

Office buildings, warehouses and retail store buildings

Factories and farms

We get numerous inquiries from seniors or clients about Reverse Mortgage and what we think of it:

It’s usually a good idea to discuss important financial decisions with family, or someone you trust.

A reverse mortgage is a loan for senior homeowners that uses the home’s equity as collateral. The loan generally does not have to be repaid until the last surviving homeowner permanently moves out of the property or passes away.

Before tapping into your home equity, see if you can find a way to lower your expenses. You might also consider downsizing to a more affordable home.

Home equity is often the last resource to turn to in a financial emergency. It is usually best to preserve your equity if you have other resources to meet financial needs.

However, if you think you may need to access your equity, speak with a Financial Advisor who understands Reverse Mortgages.  A financial plan will help you avoid last minute financial decisions in an emergency.  Call or e mail your Financial Advisor, Edna Concepcion, to see if a Reverse Mortgage is recommendable in your situation.
